“You Are So Organized!”

It’s true.  I am pretty organized (just don’t look in my desk).  I am totally Type A & not ashamed.  It has proven very useful with this lifestyle.  Finally, it is a compliment to be “soooooo organized”.
In order to follow a special diet, you have to be organized.  I make fresh cookies, muffins, or bread nearly [...]

Enzymes for Autism

Here’s a quickie book review:
Enzymes for Autism & Other Neurological Conditions by Karen DeFelice
I recommend this book for anyone considering trying more than just the GFCF diet to help their child. The book is well written but is not a super easy read. I found I really had to concentrate, much like a [...]

Celimix Pizza Crust

We finally tried pizza again, after a month long “homemade pizza Fridays” break.  It has been too crazy with harvest, work & school to even bother with our regular meal schedule, so it was kind of neat to get back to that routine.
I’ve had this Celimix Pizza Crust in the cupboard for weeks, waiting eagerly [...]

Boom CHOCO Boom Crispy Rice Bar

First, a confession. I did receive this product in the mail from Enjoy Life without charge, but they didn’t *request* a review either. (I’m going to anyways though)
As a self-diagnosised chocoholic, I have to tell you that my standards for chocolate are about the mid-point. I don’t like el-cheapo chocolate, but am not a “pure, [...]

Celimix White Rice Bread

Not to be confused with the “White Bread” (because I did, same package, $2 cheaper) the White Rice bread is a different bread from Celimix.  Out of the two, I prefered the White Bread.
The Rice Bread may have a bad rap in our house because I have had a couple of experimental flops using it.  [...]

Why Mommy Should Not Cheat Either….

I had a great girls’ day out today.  We went to a craft sale & then had a huge lunch buffet before coming home.  I took 2 Zyme Prime before I ate thinking that it would help with the food I was about to consume.
I had: pasta salad, pizza, garden salad & popcorn chicken.  Yup.  [...]

Update #2

I just had to post this note from Nathan’s teacher:
Nathan seems a little “off” today.  Maybe he is tired.  Often needed to be told instructions a few times.

Things that make you go Hmmmm……

Infraction Update

Sooooo…..Eric’s leg had 3 pinpoint rash dots on it last night after his bath. Looks like the same rash points he got prior to going CF. He *should* be GF too, but people keep sneaking him treats on the side, not realizing that I want both kids on the diet.
Nathan has a stinky [...]

Infraction today

The boys went to Nursery school today. The snack was: cheese, crackers & fruit. Now, if I know my children (and I’d like to think I do), they ate everything. Eric probably asked for extra cheese. They did not get enzymes beforehand, but would have had some with their lunch, two hours [...]

Donut Muffins

Ok, I promised to share this awesome recipe last week & never quite got back to it.  I received it from the Yahoo GFCF diet group & then (of course) tweaked it my liking.  These are more like a cake donut than a yeast donut but are great all the same.
We kept them in the fridge [...]
